International Trip to Singapore: Student Reflections

TANVI BANSAL (XII SCIENCE)

For me the best part about a school year is the school trip and since I am in 12th this one was extra special. This was my last school trip ever , so many emotions are linked with it. It was also my first international trip so I was very anxious, nervous, excited, everything at once. I was also going with my younger brother so I was worried about him too but thanks to Jasleen mam, Vineet sir and Robin sir, everything was fine. It was wonderful. Our tour guides Satvinder mam in malasiya and Freddy sir in Singapore were also amazing. They did their best to show us as many things as possible. They also made us punctual and disciplined. The part that I loved obviously except universal was that how close we all were. Our late night games and talks, random photos and videos were everything. I didn’t know until legoland that I had a fear of rollercoasters . I am very grateful to my friends who encouraged me to go to all the rides and rollercoasters. I mean can you believe it the person who couldn’t do a simple rollercoaster in legoland was able to do cylone one in universal. It was unbelievable. All thanks to my friends and I hope the friends I have made here are going to stay forever.

Our school trip to Malaysia and Singapore was truly a life-changing experience—one filled with discovery, learning, and unforgettable memories.
We began our journey in Malaysia, where culture and creativity welcomed us at every step. Our first visit was to Putrjaya, where we got a glimpse into Malaysia’s rich history and heritage. Watching skilled artists at the Pewter Factory was fascinating, and the Chocolate Factory was a sweet delight—both literally and figuratively! One of the most memorable moments was creating our own Batik art, blending tradition with our own imagination. Visiting the iconic Batu Caves felt both grand and peaceful, and the dazzling light and sound show at the Petronas Towers lit up more than just the skyline. The highlight for many of us was the STEM workshop at Legoland, where learning met fun in the most innovative ways.
From there, we headed to Singapore, a country that felt like the future. Its cleanliness, greenery, and modern architecture immediately caught my eye. The URA Gallery taught us how smart planning shapes cities, while the Night Safari was a thrilling experience under the stars. At Sentosa Island, we enjoyed everything from beaches to cable cars, and Universal Studios felt like stepping into the world of movies—with rides, characters, and endless fun.
This trip wasn’t just a break from school—it was a journey that taught me about culture, teamwork, and the joy of exploring the unknown. I returned with stories, new friendships, and memories that will last forever.

My school trip to Malaysia and Singapore was truly one of the newest and most memorable experiences of my life. From the moment we landed in Malaysia to the time we arrived in Delhi I enjoyed every moment. We explored various places, tasted local food, and enjoyed thrilling theme park rides. Every day consisted of various types of fun activities, adventures and the entire trip was amazingly planned and organized. One of the main reasons the trip felt so smooth and enjoyable was because of our amazing tour guide, Mr. Robin. He was not only well-spoken but also very friendly. He made sure we stayed engaged, safe, and kept us all entertained throughout the journey.
The best part of the entire trip, however, was the drive from Malaysia to Singapore. The views along the way, combined with the quality time in the bus, made the ride unforgettable. We played music, sang songs, clicked pictures, and even danced, making the journey feel like a party on wheels. It was never about the destination but it was all about the moments we had together. This trip has given me so many new memories that I will always remember, and I feel so lucky and happy at the same time that i was a part of it.

I am truly grateful for the wonderful experience this trip provided. A heartfelt thank you to Jasleen Ma’am, Vineet Sir, and all the other teachers who worked tirelessly to make this journey possible for us. It was not only an incredibly fun and memorable experience, but also an enriching one. I had the opportunity to learn new things, step out of my comfort zone, and form meaningful connections with new friends. This trip will always hold a special place in my heart.

This journey was a rollercoaster in every sense — from early airport chaos to late-night hotel laughs, it brought us closer to each other in unexpected ways. Somewhere between rushing for breakfast and sharing bus rides across cities, we discovered how fun, weird, and real our friends actually are.
Each day had its own highlight. Sentosa Island was unforgettable — the ropeway views, Mario carting, and Wings of Time light show left everyone speechless. Legoland had us feeling like kids again, while Universal Studios stole the show with The Mummy and Cyclone rides that had our hearts racing and voices gone. Sadly, we couldn’t make it to Marina Bay, but the URA Gallery gave us a new appreciation for how Singapore functions — super organized yet full of life.
Not everything was perfect — vegetarian students struggled with food options during mall visits (daily we were going either at night or afternoon).
What truly stood out was the bond we formed with our mentors. Robin Sir and Freddy weren’t just our guides — they were our biggest hype squad, always chill, always supportive. The stay itself was super comfortable and felt like home by the end.
We’re heading back with suitcases full of memories, stories, and a little bit of sadness that it’s all over. I truly hope our school continues organizing such incredible experiences.

Our school trip to Malaysia and Singapore was nothing short of magical—a perfect blend of fun, learning, and unforgettable memories. On the very first day, we visited the iconic KLCC Twin Towers and explored Suria Mall. The highlight was the mesmerizing fountain show at night, lighting up the entire place and setting the tone for an exciting journey ahead.
The next morning, after an insightful and enjoyable Batik painting session, we set off on a scenic drive to Johor Bahru. The views were stunning, and the vibe was full of laughter and anticipation. After checking into our hotel, we rested, gearing up for the most awaited day.
Day 3 was all about thrill and excitement at Legoland! I made it a point to try every ride—big or small—and cherished every moment. That evening, our kind and thoughtful guide even took us to a nearby mall, which added an extra touch of fun to the day.
Crossing the border into Singapore on Day 4 was an adventure in itself. We visited the famous Merlion, clicked lots of photos, and explored our hotel and local malls. Day 5 was a personal favorite—starting with the Science Centre and ending with pure joy at Sentosa Island. Winning Mario Kart races, cycling through the entire island, and watching the breathtaking beachside fountain show created memories I’ll treasure forever.
Day 6 took us to the iconic Universal Studios, where thrilling rides like The Mummy, Jurassic Park, and Cyclone had us screaming with joy. After an exhilarating day, we visited VivoCity Mall, one of Singapore’s largest malls. We shopped, explored, and soaked in the vibrant energy of the place.
On Day 7, our hearts were heavy knowing it was time to leave. But Changi Airport left us awestruck with its beauty. Although the famous Jewel fountain show was in another terminal and only started after 11 AM, my friend and I took the airport train early at 7 AM just to see the stunning setting. Even without the fountain in action, it was magical.
A heartfelt thank you to our teachers, who cared for us like family, and to our guide, who went above and beyond to ensure our safety, fun, and comfort. If I could relive any week of my life, it would undoubtedly be these incredible seven days.

We began our journey in Kuala Lumpur, where we visited the KLCC Tower observation deck and enjoyed the amazing city view. At the Pewter Factory, we learned about Malaysia’s cultural heritage and even tried hands-on activities. I bought a cute pewter souvenir from there. We also went to a Chocolate Factory, and I picked up some tasty chocolates. The light and sound show at the Petronas Towers was magical, and we ended the day shopping at nearby malls where I bought small gifts for my family.
The next day, we climbed the stairs at the beautiful Batu Caves and had a fun Batik painting session where I got to keep my artwork! Then, we travelled to Johor Bahru and visited LEGOLAND, where we attended a cool STEM workshop and enjoyed thrilling rides. I bought a mini LEGO set and some keychains as a memory.
In Singapore, we explored the URA Gallery, and had an amazing time at Sentosa Island with ropeway rides, Mario karting, and the Skyline Luge. The Wings of Time show was breathtaking.
